Who we are

Verdera AS (org. no. 938 088 322), Bergen, Norway, is the data controller. For any privacy questions, contact us at hei@verdera.no.

The waitlist

When you join the waitlist, we store your email address on the waitlist. We also get a notification email with your address, the area of interest you optionally choose, and the language you were browsing in. We use it only to tell you about the launch and early access.

• Legal basis: your consent (GDPR Art. 6(1)(a)). You can withdraw it at any time; this doesn't affect the lawfulness of processing before you withdrew it.
• Retention: until you unsubscribe. Reply to any email from us or write to hei@verdera.no, and we'll remove you from the list and delete the notification about your sign-up.

The contact form

When you send us a message, we process your name, company, email, phone number, what your enquiry is about, and the message itself. We use it to reply and follow up on what you ask, and you get an automatic confirmation by email.

• Legal basis: our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries (Art. 6(1)(f)), or steps you ask us to take before a possible contract (Art. 6(1)(b)).
• Retention: we delete your enquiry 12 months after our last contact. If it leads to a customer relationship, we keep what the contract and our accounts require for as long as the law requires.

What's collected automatically

When you visit the website, some technical data is processed automatically:

• Operations and security: server logs including IP address and browser information. They're deleted automatically after a short time, normally within a day. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in a secure website that works (Art. 6(1)(f)).
• Spam protection: the forms use an invisible bot check that looks at technical signals from your browser, to stop automated submissions. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in protecting the forms (Art. 6(1)(f)).
• Visitor statistics, only if you accept them: which pages are visited, where the visit came from, approximate location (country, region and city), browser, operating system and device type. Visits are counted with a code derived from the request that is replaced every day, so visits can't be followed across days or other websites. The statistics aren't linked to your IP address. The code is deleted after 24 hours. The rest of the statistics is stored by our website hosting provider for as long as we use the service, and we only see it in aggregate. Legal basis: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a)).

Cookies and browser storage

The website uses no cookies for tracking, statistics or marketing. We ask before turning on visitor statistics, and you can change your choice at any time under "Privacy choices" at the bottom of the page. Your choice, and whether you picked the light or dark theme, is stored locally in your browser. The bot check on the forms reads technical signals from your browser to stop automated submissions.

Who processes your data for us

We never sell your data. A few providers process it on our behalf, under data processing agreements:

• A website hosting provider, which also runs the visitor statistics and the bot check.
• An email delivery provider, which sends email from the website and stores the waitlist.
• An email and office software provider, where enquiries and notifications from the forms arrive.

Transfers to the United States

Some of our providers are US companies, so data may be processed in the United States. The transfer is protected because the providers are certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, and because their data processing agreements use the EU Standard Contractual Clauses. Your rights

You can ask for access to, correction or deletion of your data, ask us to restrict processing, and ask to receive your data (data portability). Write to hei@verdera.no and we'll reply within a month. You can withdraw your consent to the waitlist by replying to any email from us or writing to hei@verdera.no, and your consent to visitor statistics under "Privacy choices" at the bottom of the page. You can also complain to the Norwegian Data Protection Authority (Datatilsynet).

Right to object

You can object at any time to processing based on our legitimate interest, meaning the contact form, the server logs and the bot check, on grounds relating to your particular situation. Write to hei@verdera.no.
